I am having trouble setting up appropriate lighting after importing my .obj file from Maya. Keep in mind, this is a super high quality mesh with about 300,000 faces and almost 1,000,000 vertices (so its not a model issue). You will notice the light jagged edge in the 1st photo along the top of the Oakley O icon (full frame scene). Yes, I am using more of a dramatic lighting scene, but really, this aliasing issue seems to happen in any instance where I am not reverting to "default" or ambiant lit scenes. You can see in the close up that there is no mesh issue. the render looks fine when the camera is close. I have already played around with the element output settings (sampling & aliasing): 'multisampling' & 'FXAA smoothing'. the FXAA seems to help with more global aliasing along the outlined edges of the product, but only blurs the light jagged edge in the O icon. Does anyone have an suggestions to fix this issue? any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
